Fifth COVID-19 patient died in Yangon
YANGON- Fifth COVID-19 patient living in Mingalartaungnyunt Township, Yangon Region, died at the Waibargi Hospital this morning, according to MP Hla Htay from No.1 Constituency in Mingalartaungnyunt Township.
The 69-year-old man living in Mingalartaungnyunt Township stayed in Australia for about a month for his nose cancer treatment. Before returning to Myanmar on March 14th, he also spent four days in Singapore.
He started suffering from fever, coughing and sore throat on March 25th.
He then has been kept at ICU of Yangon General Hospital and lab tests showed that the man tested positive.
MP Hla Htay also said that the investigation is being carried out to know the cause of death; whether he died from cancer or not.
The 45-year-old man who had closely contacted with the fifth COVID-19 patient tested positive for COVID-19. Currently, he has been kept at Waibargi Hospital.
